the BASEMENT Publication #08 Jacob and my friendship has ebbed and flowed. At the time of making this, we had recently started becoming close again after a period of distance and I wanted to show my gratitude. This artwork and our relationship is similar to grounded beef. They can be deemed ordinary and undone, however, plain, raw meat that is once soft and difficult to work with, can be reshaped and tenderized, just as our relationship did. Like acid breaking down the enzymes of raw meat to become that much more satiable, our walls fell to expose vulnerability and sincere compassion.
