I address societal ideals of age, sexuality, and gender with a dry sense of humor and the
strangeness of caricature. Taking inspiration from the colorful cartoons of my childhood —like Spongebob and Looney Tunes— I utilize their nostalgic charm to dampen the weightiness of the themes I tackle. My sculptural works ultimately aim to spark conversation and bring attention to the viewer’s preconceived ideologies.
