My Neighborhood, When?

Olivia Rahbin

Watercolor and Pencil
2024

This piece came from a desire to imagine what my life might be in the future. I think often about a neighborhood that I don’t currently live in and romanticize it. The reality is that a neighborhood can be made beautiful with the realization that we all have a part to contribute to its well-being and beauty. I think of sunsets, children, and the comfort of leaning on one another as aspects of the neighborhood I would want to live in.
